Retain Search Query in the Search Box on Results Page

📋 Summary

Update the search results page so the full current query remains in the search box, making it easier to refine searches without retyping everything.

❗ Problem

Currently, after performing a search:

• The search terms are shown as separate boxes above the search field

• The actual search box does not retain the full typed query

• Users must retype the entire search string to make small changes

For example, a search like:

platform:arcade title:baseball

shows those values above the box, but not inside it, making repeated query refinement unnecessarily tedious.

💡 Proposal

Keep the full active search query inside the search box on the results page:

• Preserve the exact text the user searched for

• Allow users to click into the box and quickly edit the existing query

• Continue showing parsed query tokens above the box if useful, but not as the only editable representation

📦 Benefits

• Makes search refinement much faster and easier

• Reduces repetitive typing for advanced searches

• Aligns the search experience with common UI best practices

• Improves usability for users narrowing results through multiple query attempts

💡 Notes

• Token boxes can still remain for visibility, but the main query should stay editable in the field

• Especially helpful for complex searches using multiple filters
