Expand LaunchBox’s “Run Before/After Main Application” functionality so it also applies when launching any additional application/version of a game. This helps ensure required scripts or utilities are executed regardless of which version is played.
Currently, “Run Before/After” apps are only triggered when launching the main version of a game. If you launch an alternate version (e.g., another region or language) listed under Additional Applications, the pre/post-launch apps are skipped entirely.
This creates friction for setups where games require supporting scripts (e.g. AHK scripts, .bat files, or input remappers). For example, if a script is needed to prep the system for all versions of a game like Mario (USA), Mario (Europe), and Mario (Japan), it will only run when launching the USA version marked as the main app.
Update LaunchBox so that Run Before/After Applications can optionally apply when launching any associated version of a game. This could be implemented as:
A global setting (e.g. “Run Before/After apps for additional versions”)
Or an advanced checkbox on each additional app entry
Ensures compatibility scripts or utilities always run
Avoids requiring duplicate configuration for each version
Improves flexibility for managing multi-version or multi-region games
Reduces user error when launching variants that rely on setup scripts
