Add an optional review screen at the end of the ROM/game import process in LaunchBox, allowing users to verify and adjust LaunchBox Games Database associations before finalizing. This would improve accuracy and reduce the need for time-consuming post-import corrections.
During import, LaunchBox automatically matches ROMs to entries in the LaunchBox Games Database, pulling metadata and grouping game versions together. While this automation is powerful and saves time, occasional mismatches or incorrect groupings can occur—especially with regional variants, hacks, or games with similar names.
Once the import is complete, correcting these issues means manually editing each game, ungrouping versions, or changing database links—steps that could have been avoided with a quick review before confirming.
Introduce a final review screen during the import wizard, showing:
The matched LaunchBox Games Database entry for each imported game
Grouped versions of the same game
Any unmatched or ambiguous entries
Users could then make corrections directly—changing associations, ungrouping games, or skipping imports that were incorrectly
