Currently, when you apply a quick filter in LaunchBox (e.g. Favorites, Max Players, Genre), that filter only applies to the current view (platform, playlist, category, etc.). As soon as you navigate to another view, the filter is removed. This request proposes adding an option to retain quick filters across views until manually cleared.
Add a toggle or setting to make quick filters persistent across navigation.
Filters would remain active even as users move between platforms, playlists, or categories.
A clear button or icon in the toolbar could remind users that a persistent filter is applied and allow easy reset.
A user wants to filter out homebrew and hacks, and only view officially released games across all platforms.
A user sets the “Favorites” filter and wants to browse only favorites without having to reapply the filter in each view.
A user is in the mood for multiplayer, sets “Max Players = 2+” and wants to quickly jump between SNES, Dreamcast, and Arcade platforms to find co-op games.
A user wants to filter for “Completed” games and move between platforms to view their progress across systems.
Streamlines collection browsing and playlist creation.
Greatly improves the usability of filters for larger libraries.
Reduces repetitive filtering steps for power users and collection curators.
