Alternate Name Indicator in Search Results

📋 Summary

When a search matches a game’s alternate/alias title rather than its primary title, visually indicate this in the UI so users know the result was found via an alternate name.

🎯 Feature Overview

  • If a search term matches an Alternate Name:

    • Show a small “Also known as” indicator on the result.

    • Provide a quick way to view the exact alias matched (e.g., tooltip or subtitle).

  • Apply consistently across LaunchBox (Desktop) and Big Box search.

  • Non-intrusive, fast feedback (no delay/hover lag).

🛠 Example Use Case

  • User searches “Biohazard” and finds Resident Evil.

  • The result shows a subtle note: Matched by alternate name: “Biohazard”—either as an instant tooltip on the box, or a secondary line in the Game Details header.

📦 Benefits

  • Clarity: Users immediately understand why a result appeared.

  • Discovery: Highlights useful aliases/regional titles (JP/EU/US naming).

  • Confidence: Reduces confusion in large libraries with many regional or historical names.

💡 Notes

  • Keep the indicator lightweight and theme-friendly (e.g., a small “AKA” badge or subtitle).

  • Consider a search setting to toggle alias highlighting on/off for power users.
