Add the ability to manually sort or reorder Additional Apps for a game and have that order reflected everywhere in LaunchBox and Big Box, including the Play Version menu.
Currently, Additional Apps can be sorted temporarily by clicking a column header in the Edit window, but this sort is not saved, and does not affect the order shown in the Play Version selector.
This feature request proposes:
Manual drag-and-drop sorting of Additional Apps
Saved sorting that persists across sessions
Sorting reflected consistently across:
Edit Game window → Additional Apps
Right-click → Play Version
Big Box → Play Version
Optional: allow sorting by any field (e.g., Name, Application Path, Version) and allow users to save that sort as the permanent order.
A user has a ROM with:
Fan translation v1
Fan translation v1.1
Bug-fixed patch
Randomizer mod
Restoration mod
Currently, these appear in the order they were added, making it messy and unintuitive.
With this feature:
The user can drag items to arrange them logically (e.g., Official patches → fan translations → hacks → randomizers).
Big Box and LaunchBox will show them in this preferred order.
Much cleaner experience for users who work with ROM hacks, translations, modded versions, or multiple revisions
Clearer Play Version selection in both LaunchBox and Big Box
Better organization for advanced users with complex game setups
More consistent UI behavior across the app
This aligns with existing UX patterns in LaunchBox (e.g., manual playlist sorting) and would greatly improve workflows for users who heavily utilize Additional Apps.
