Add full light and dark mode support to the default LaunchBox theme, with an option to switch manually or follow the operating system theme setting.
LaunchBox currently has some light theme support in certain areas, such as settings, but the main application does not have a full light mode.
This means:
The main program remains visually inconsistent with lighter UI areas
Users who prefer light themes do not have a complete built in option
LaunchBox cannot match the user’s Windows light or dark mode preference
Users must rely on custom themes for a basic light mode experience
Add full theme mode support to the default LaunchBox theme:
Light mode
Dark mode
Follow system setting
This could be exposed as an appearance option, for example:
Default Light
Default Dark
Use Windows Theme Setting
The selected mode should apply consistently across the main application, settings, dialogs, and core LaunchBox UI.
A user prefers a brighter UI during daytime use
A user wants LaunchBox to match their Windows appearance setting
Users with visual preferences or accessibility needs can choose the theme that works best for them
LaunchBox feels more consistent across main views and settings
Provides a complete built in light theme option
Improves visual consistency across the application
Aligns LaunchBox with modern desktop app behavior
Reduces reliance on third party themes for basic appearance preferences
Improves accessibility and comfort for users with different display needs
Needs consistent styling across dialogs and embedded UI areas
Should preserve existing dark theme behavior by default
“Follow system” should update reliably when the OS theme changes
