Introduce built-in tools to trim, merge, and customize video snaps within LaunchBox. This would allow users to create more personalised and relevant gameplay previews and intro videos—especially useful for Big Box platform and playlist intros.
Currently, users must rely on external video editing software to trim or merge gameplay clips (e.g. YouTube videos) into suitable video snaps. This adds unnecessary friction, especially for users who want short, focused gameplay snippets or want to compile themed intros for playlists or categories in Big Box.
Add a video trimming tool for shortening video snaps directly inside LaunchBox (e.g., select start and end timestamps via a simple UI)
Add the ability to merge multiple video files into one, ideal for creating custom intros for platforms or playlists
Provide support for importing YouTube-sourced gameplay clips, with optional download and edit functionality
Optionally allow saving presets for snap length (e.g., 30 sec, 60 sec)
Integrate these features under a “Video Tools” section or as part of the Edit Media workflow
Makes it easier to create consistent, high-quality video snaps for individual games
Allows playlist and platform intro videos to be generated by combining themed clips
Reduces dependency on third-party editors for simple video tasks
Supports more personalized setups in Big Box 📹✂️🎬
