Automated ROM Imports
Learn how to use the Automated ROM Import system to quickly get your games in LaunchBox so you have more time to play!

Place Your Games
LaunchBox automatically creates folders for different gaming systems (like Atari 7800, NEC TurboGrafx-16, etc.) inside your "LaunchBox\Games" folder.
Simply drag and drop your ROM files into the correct folder. For example, if you have Atari 7800 games, put them into the "Atari 7800" folder.
Automatic Magic
LaunchBox will instantly notice the new games you've added.
It will then automatically:
Add the games to your LaunchBox library.
Find information about each game (like its name, release date, etc.) from our online database.
Download some basic images for each game, so they look good in your library (One of each: Box - Front, Clear Logo, Screenshot - Gameplay, and Fanart - Background).
Create a new section in your LaunchBox side bar under "Platforms" and "Platform Categories" for the system you added games for.
Playing Your Games (Easy Emulators):
If LaunchBox supports automatically downloading the emulator for the games you added, here’s what happens:
When you try to play a game, LaunchBox will ask if you want to download the emulator.
Click "Yes," and LaunchBox will handle the download and setup for you.
Click "Play" again, and your game will start!
If LaunchBox doesn’t support a default emulator to be downloaded for your specific platform it will automatically
